The SilverFit Flow is developed to support patients with their breathing exercises by means of game-based therapy. For instance, patients at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) can perform their breathing exercises with SilverFit Flow, and under supervision of their therapist. The training data and scores are recorded by the system, so patient progress can be tracked.

MIT & Eurostars funding

SilverFit Flow was developed based on both national (Mkb-innovatiestimulering Regio en Topsectoren; 2016) and international (Eurostars; 2017) funding. Within the by Eurostars-funded project, we collaborated with Gelre Hospitals and Thor/Uscom (Hungaria). Our final product reached the Dutch market by the end of 2019.

Dutch magazine Ondernamen Woerden published an article on the development of SilverFit Flow in the summer of 2019: https://issuu.com/ondernamen/docs/onwoerden_zomer2019_online/64

SilverFit Flow demonstrated in the US

Last week, the CEO of SilverFit Joris Wiersinga visited Accelerated Care Plus (ACP) in the US to demonstrate SilverFit Flow to three large US-based rehabilitation parties. They were super enthusiastic about this opportunity to offer breathing exercises in game format to motivate clients and to be able to provide them with real-time visualisation of their efforts while training. Especially, since respiratory problems are a frequent comorbidity in the US.

Pilot study in the US

A pilot study with SilverFit Flow will be conducted in six highly skilled US nursing facilities in 2020.
