On Thursday, Sept. 19, SilverFit conducted the online advanced training on the topic “The treatment of breathing problems, with biofeedback and gamification” for 45 Dutch participating speech therapists. This training was accredited with 3 points. It was an informative session, addressing the latest (scientific) developments in the field and exchanging experiences and ideas. The presentations dealt with various aspects of respiratory problems and how the SilverFit Flow can be used. There were (external) speakers who discussed the following topics from their specialties:
- Respiration and Parkinson’s, by Loes Meijer, speech therapist at Alliade, specializing in dysfunctional breathing problems
- New developments in virtual therapy by Joris Wiersinga, CEO of SilverFit
- Gamification within breathing excercises by Karin Hoogendoorn, Speech Therapist and Account Manager at SilverFit and Ame Harris, Physical Therapist and Product Owner at SilverFit
- Innovation and implementation by Yvonne Brookman, Policy Advisor NVLF (Dutch Association for Speech Therapy and Phoniatrics)
