Knowledge and experience as a strong foundation: new leadership at SilverFit

As of September 1st, SilverFit has a new CEO: Karlijn Swartjes. Karlijn has been with SilverFit for 14 years, and many of you know her from her previous role as Commercial Director. Co-founder Joris Wiersinga is stepping down after 17 years. He will become the Chairman of the Board of Shareholders and, together with our other founder, Maaike Duijts, will support Karlijn and her team where necessary.

A constant in international healthcare
SilverFit has become an integral part of elderly care in the Netherlands. More than 60% of all elderly care locations in the Netherlands use one or more of our products. We are also active in more than 20 countries with the innovative products we have developed together with professionals and clients of our customers.

Deeply committed
To lead such a company in a healthcare sector that is under considerable pressure in all countries, you need to feel deeply committed to what we are trying to achieve: improving the lives of vulnerable people, such as nursing home residents or rehabilitation patients. Karlijn has this commitment like no other.
In the words of Joris: ‘SilverFit is in Karlijn’s blood. She has always passionately represented the interests of our customers within SilverFit. I believe that SilverFit’s customer focus is a very important aspect of our success, and I am confident that it is in good hands with Karlijn.
Karlijn: ‘Thank you for your kind words. I am proud to take on this role. In the coming years, I hope to work with our wonderful team and fantastic customers to further improve SilverFit and make it accessible to even more users.
