What a fantastic event the 2026 Tour SilverFit Mile was!
We received so many wonderful and enthusiastic responses to this event. The organisers were pleasantly surprised by the number of routes and activities, and residents enjoyed two weeks of active and festive moments in which even volunteers and family members took part.
Here are a few figures.
At this international event:
- 68 locations took part in England, the Netherlands, Belgium and France
- 1,565 residents took part in the cycle ride
- residents cycled for a total of 122,281 minutes
- participants included those over 100 years old, with the oldest taking part aged 104!

The oldest participant in the Netherlands is a 100-year-old resident at the Lingesteyn site of the Rivas Care Group.
Belgium

- Le Clos de la Rivelaine – Korian Belgium
Belgium’s oldest participant is a 104-year-old resident at the Sint Lambertus Buren care home, run by Korian Belgium.
France

- EHPAD Mon Repos – ASIMAT
The oldest participant from France is a 102-year-old resident at DomusVi’s Résidence Saint Jean.
International award for the most creative post on LinkedIn, Facebook and/or Instagram
It was very difficult to choose from the many posts across the various channels.
One venue stood out in particular, with posts on multiple channels featuring photos, a video and an alternative activity during the Tour SilverFit Mile – they even went pedal boating with residents!
